2023 CSM 10th Annual United Way Market Day

Each space costs $100.00 (non-refundable) and includes an 8’ table and seating for two people. The spaces are a good size without curtains or draping/dividers separating vendors – creating an open-air market concept. All of the money collected from this rental space goes directly to the United Way of Calgary. A tax receipt will be provided.  Please note that the CRA does not accept PO boxes as addresses.

Each year vendors donate an item to our Silent Auction with all proceeds going to the United Way of Calgary. Last year the silent auction raised an additional $725. Your donation must have a minimum value of $25.00 or you can provide an item valued at $50.00+ and receive a tax receipt from the United Way. 

If you wish to receive a tax receipt, please complete this gift-in-kind form and include an invoice detailing the auction item(s) and value(s). Bring this completed information with you on the day of the market.

Set up is 7:00 am – 9:00 am on November 29.  We have arranged to have a small supply of flatbed carts available for you to use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remember the market opens at 9:00 am.

There are limited spaces available with power outlets, they will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis, at no additional charge to you. You will need to bring your own extension cord(s) and there is Wi-Fi in the atrium that you can connect to.

We hold a Book Sale each year around the Market.  This year we are having it on November 27 & 28, 2023.  We start collecting used books in September.  There will be a box in each of the four buildings (HSC, HMRB, HRIC & CWPH).

There is a 50/50 draw that takes place the day of the market – 2019 winner received $200.00.  We were not able to have a 50/50 in 2022.

We are pleased to provide you with one complimentary parking space for the day of the market.  Height restrictions are 6’6” in both the CWPH & Lot 6 parkades.

The week of the market, we will email you the parking code to gain entrance to the CWPH parkade. If you chose to park in Lot 6, we will purchase a ticket on your behalf the morning of the market.

The location of your table for the market will be indicated on the vendor floor plan which will be emailed the week of the market.

This annual event is very well attended by staff from the Cumming School of Medicine and main campus, the Foothills Hospital and community members.  We advertise the event, showcasing our vendors, in a variety of locations and media formats including: poster board signs, our internal media display channel, eNewsletter, CSM Facebook, Twitter and IG accounts.
