The Partnership Program Grants Office

MISSION: To enhance the success rate of Faculty of Medicine researchers applying for Partnership Program grants.

The Partnership Program Grants Office (PPGO) provides advice and support to Faculty of Medicine researchers applying to any partnership program (grants which have a requirement for matching funding). The PPGO also manages and supports Canada Research Chair nominations and certain CIHR, NSERC and AHFMR strategic programs. The PPGO can help researchers with all stages of the application process, including planning the scope of the project, assisting with the budget, working with the on-line forms, and editing and revising drafts. The PPGO can also provide project management and technical/scientific writing services for large-scale grant applications.

Partnership Program Grants are defined as granting programs that have a requirement for matching funding. An example of this is the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI); the CFI will fund up to 40% of the budget of an approved proposal, while the remainder of the budget must be funded by other partners, such as industry or provincial funding programs.
