Biography

About me
I am from Canmore. I have completed an MSc in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s of Health and Physical Education for Mount Royal University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience.

My research
I am supervised by Dr. Elizabeth Condliffe in the Pediatric Onset of Neuromotor Impairments Lab (PONI). My research focused on how using a robotic walker (particularly the Trexo robotic walker) impacts physical activity, quality of life and family outcomes in children living with mobility impairments.

BRAIN CREATE program aspirations
Through the BRAIN CREATE program I hope to do an exchange to explore a lab that uses robotic gait trainers for pediatric rehabilitation purposes. And to gain a better understand of robotic gait trainers that are available for individuals living with mobility impairments.

Commercialization
My research examines the Trexo robotic walker which is currently on the market. My research has the opportunity to examine the effectiveness of this device for children living with mobility impairments
