Faculty of Medicine Time Capsule

In celebration of the Faculty of Medicine's 40^th Anniversary, the Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association recently installed a MD Menagerie time capsule to preserve each graduating classes' mementos including yearbooks, Medshow photos, and convocation programs. Each class will be assigned a drawer with a plaque engraved with their graduation year and corresponding animal. The time capsule consists of 60 maple drawers and is located in the Faculty of Medicine, outside the Admissions Office.

 

"We'd love the individual classes to personalize their special memories here. MD Alumni are free to open their drawer whenever they visit and take a jog down memory lane!" explained Dr. Janice Heard, executive director of the Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association and graduate from the Class of 1983.

 

The Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association will be accepting contributions from each class to ‘sponsor' their drawer. If the $200 signage sponsorship is met, then we will allocate the extra funds to the Medicine Alumni Bursary. If you would like to make a contribution, please email medalum@ucalgary.ca
